There were concerns about Shohaib Malik's thought-less comments and justifiably so. Agreed that Malik's english is not that good but the writers who wrote about the comments were reasonable to give him leeway for that. But mentioning the Muslims word out of the context was distasteful -and any bad remark cannt be excused purely on the gorunds of linguistic barriers and cultural ignorance.
I got the chance to visit a Pakistani forum and was surprised to see that people there are defending him for such reckless comments - in the name of Ramadan or whatever. Speaks volumes about the state of mind of people in Pakistan.
Oblivious of the real world, they act in a state of forged unity. This that has led to the failure of a nation state with all the resources to succeed at their helm. What India achieved in 50 years despite rampant corruption and nepotism should have been surpassed by Pakistan if not for their jingoistic mental state. The motto for them should be Divided we Stand, United we Fall. |

This might be irrelevant...But of all the islamic communities I have met in Abu Dhabi...pakistanis are far & away the most aggressive of them all...
& half of the Pakistani taxi drivers act like desperate gays...I know this is entirely irrelevant...But just wanted to share my observations of Pakistanis first-hand
